Bridgette’s Kitchen

So….I rent the house that I am living in but that doesn’t mean that I won’t make it “mine”. This is not my house but it IS my home! So I asked the land lord if I could paint and glaze the Kitchen cabinets! (One of the perks to renting to a decorative painter!) Lets see a little before pictures….

WHAT a DIFFERENCE! We thought it was such an upgrade we went looking for a new light to go over the sink…found this for $7!!!

Now I sit back and look at my new kitchen! All the hard work truly paid off!

Ooooh, I LOVE it!!!!!!! I remember when we bought our first house back in 2001, I had VERY similar cabinets to yours. When I painted them all my friends and family FLIPPED! They couldn't believe I'd paint "wood" cabinets. Proof is in the pudding tho, and like mine, your kitchen is LIGHT YEARS better than it was!!!!!! I love paint... :)

The kitchen looks so beautiful!! You did a great job! It's so great that your landlord said "yes" to you painting it.

This turned out great! They look much better! Lucky you with a landlord that was okay with it ~ although he is getting the better end of the deal, I think. I would like to paint my oak cabinets a cream with a glaze.

@ Andrea....I wanted to spray put I did this back in Jan. and it was TOO cold! So I used a small white foam roller! These rollers are AWESOME! The best thing ever for painting cabinets and furniture!

Love it! I want to paint my cabinets but ugh....soooo much work! And considering they are only 2 yrs old the hubby isn't jumping at the idea. But I am so loving your white cabinets. Looks great.
