A Twine Ruffled Frame

I've been tossing an idea around in my head for a few days and decided to just get started on it. I didn't know how it was going to turn out but it was worth a try. I started with a hinged, broken, double frame that would have otherwise ended up in the trash...

I removed the hinges and the broken pieces. I took some jute twine that I bought at Lowes, and started hot gluing it in loops on the back of the frame...

I did not cut the twine into individual pieces. I used one long piece.

Ok, this was not really the look I was wanting. So I added more twine...

This time I DID cut the twine into pieces to reduce the bulkiness of the back. I ended up adding 2 more layers, then trimmed the edges.

Much better! It's looking good! I didn't really know what I wanted to put in the frame so I went browsing at The Graphics Fairy. There are soooo many terrific graphics to choose from! I went with this one...

PERFECT..........for now.....until I get sick of it and change my mind, :)
